Welcome to the wild and wonderful parks of Santa Clara County!
Our mission is to “provide, protect & preserve regional parklands for the enjoyment, education & inspiration of this & future generations.
The Santa Clara County Parks’ five decade legacy of providing outstanding recreational opportunities in beautiful natural locations has resulted in one of the largest regional park systems in California. Since the first County park land was acquired in 1924, the Santa Clara County park system has grown to include 29 regional parks encompassing nearly 45,000 acres of land.
County Parks are located close to home, yet away from the pressures of the valley’s urban lifestyle. The parks offer opportunities for recreation in a natural environment to all County residents. Regional parks are larger in size, usually more than 200 acres, than local neighborhood or community parks. Many of the County’s regional parks also feature points of local historic interest.
